Abstract

Hellenic Radiology, The official journal of the Hellenic Radiological Society, has served since 1968 the members of the Greek radiological community, persistently and successfully, as the forum of scientific exchange, with more than 1300 articles published and appreciated.

Recently the Hellenic Radiological Society has decided to establish an English edition instead, in an effort to increase the impact of the Journal and give it and its authors the opportunity to gain international recognition.

This revived edition, the Hellenic Journal of Radiology “HJR”, published in English, aspired at promoting scientific knowledge and exchange in Radiological sciences, both in diagnosis and image guided therapy, worldwide. It is aiming at raising the profile of current evidence – based imaging practice and at improving the scientific multidisciplinary dialogue, through research and innovation.

An international editorial team composed of renowned specialists, willing to devote time, efforts, enthusiasm and expertise will guarantee the evolution process and mark its success.

HJR presents clinically pertinent, original research and timely review articles. It is widely open to international authors and readers and it offers a compact forum of communication to medical imaging and related science specialists.

On behalf of the Associate and Assistant Editors and the members of the Editorial Board of the HJR I am indeed pleased to welcome and encourage you to join and contribute as partners to this worthy endeavor, which will undoubtedly add value to our specialty and professional community.

I am inviting you to enjoy the first issue and to make HJR Your Journal.
