Right upper quadrant pain and jaundice in a middle age male patient
Abstract
A 54-year-old male patient presented to the hospital with a 3-month history of progressively increasing right upper quadrant pain, lately associated with jaundice. A palpable mass was found on physical examination. Labo- ratory tests included: WBC count 11.9/μL, total bilirubin
7.16 mg/dl, SGOT 40 U/L and γGT 629U/L. Abdominal ul- trasonography (Fig. 1) was initially performed, followed by contrast enhanced computed tomography (CT) (Fig. 2) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (Fig. 3). Biop- sy was performed for final diagnosis.
