Wallenberg syndrome and the use of MRI in its diagnosis (case report)
Abstract
We describe a case of a 44-years-old patient with
left Horner’s syndrome, mild ataxia, hypoesthesia
of the right half of the body, difficulty in swallowing
and body instability. The imaging study using MRI
revealed a focal lesion size 1x0,5 cm at the left side
of the medulla oblongata. The purpose of this study
is to point out the necessity of the use of MRI in the
early diagnosis of Wallenberg syndrome.
